There are a couple of different ways that tasks can be assigned. The first is directly from the shift creation modal. The other is from the Assign Tasks screen.
Assign Shift method
Navigate to the Manage Schedule screen. Then either create, or double click on an existing shift you wish to add tasks to.
Please note that tasks are role specific, so be sure that the employee is assigned to the correct role.
Then navigate to the Tasks tab. From here you can select which tasks you want to assign to the employee. To commit changes click Save Tasks, or Save & Close.
Assign Tasks method
Navigate to the Assign Tasks screen by clicking on the Tasks dropdown menu and selecting it.
From here you will be presented with your list of tasks. You can assign them to your employees by clicking on the Assign icon to the far right of the task name.
When you click on the Assign icon you will be presented with a list of available employees for the day and their shift information.
If a task can be assigned to multiple employees, you will have the option of selecting a check mark next to each employee's name. Otherwise you can only select one employee.
When you have selected the right employee(s) for the task, click on the Assign Task button. You should now see their name listed under that task.
