There are 3 ways to assign a shift to your employees.
This walk-through will show you each method.
Method 1.
Double-click on an empty box on the schedule. For example, if I wanted to schedule Bob Jones a shift for Monday I would find the Monday column and double click on the box on his row.
Position - The role you want your employee to work.
Date
Time - Shift start and end times
Meal - Meal break start and end times.
Commonly Used Shifts - Optional tool to choose from commonly used shifts. This will auto set each of the times.
Override Availability - If an employee is unavailable for the intended shift and you wish to schedule them anyway, you can use this option to schedule them for the time frame anyway.
When finished, click Save, or Save & Close.
If you clicked Save you can then navigate to the Tasks and/or Notes tabs.
Tasks
If you have tasks set up you can assign the tasks you want the employee to perform during this shift.
Notes
You can also add notes to this shift. These will be available for management to view (not general employees).
When you are finished building out your schedule don't forget to Publish it. You can do so by clicking on the Publish button above the schedule. Please note that any published shift can be viewed by the employee it is assigned to. It is important to wait until you can completely built you schedule.
Method 2.
Click on the Create New Shift option from the left sidebar. The same modal will appear. You will need to choose the correct employee and date, as they have default a employee and date.
