Learn how to Add, Edit, or Remove a Position.
From here you should see some default positions.
Add New Position.
To add a new position, click on the Create Position button at the top right of the page.
This will bring up a new position modal.
Positions Title (required)
This is what you want to call the position.
Job Code
You can select a job code that will appear on the schedule. Employees can also select this job code when they clock in for shifts. If you haven't set up job codes yet and would like to, please visit the KB article on Job Codes.
Description
If you want to write a description on the position you may. This will only be visible from the management area.
Select Scope
If you have multiple store locations and want the position to only be available at a particular one, or few, you can select them here. By default it will apply to all locations company wide.
Color
This is the color that the shift block will be on the Manage Schedule screen. This can be modified later if you find that it is the same, or too close, as another position's color.
Permissions Apply to This Position
Turn this on if you want employees with this position to have admin abilities. These include viewing budget data, modifying timesheets, scheduling employees, etc.
Customer Facing Position
You will likely not need to worry about this setting. It is used by a select few customers with Epicor Eagle POS Integration. If you are one of these customers, please reach out directly using the Live Chat feature.
Number of Minutes on Average that this Position Spends with Each Customer.
Again, this is a setting used in conjunction with Epicor Eagle POS Integration. You will not need to enter any information here.
Sort Order
This is used to sort Positions in a custom manner from the Positions menu and filter areas on the Manage Schedule screen. It is recommended that you set this in increments of 10 initially (10, 20, 30). This way if you add Position later and need to insert them in between existing ones you don't have to go into each one to re-order. You can simply set 21 if you need it to be in between position 20 and position 30.
When you are complete, click on the Save button.
Edit Position
To edit a position you've already created click on the pen icon to the left of the position's name.

You can then make any adjustments or changes you see fit. See the list of items above in the Create New Position area for more information on each one.
Please note that if you change the name of the position it will update store or company-wide.
Remove Position.
To remove a position you don't want to use any longer, click on the trash can icon to the left of the position's name.
You will be presented with a confirmation message. If you want to proceed, click Confirm. Otherwise click Close.
